STRENGTH FOR WOMEN WORKSHOP

Building bone density and retaining muscle mass is essential as we age. Join Alex for an invigorating workshop on body awareness, upper/lower body strengthening (emphasis on joints) and core activation from a functional movement perspective. Traditional yoga sequences will be slowed down and explored working around and up to postures (including handstands). Modifications and variations will make postures accessible for everyone. Expect to be challenged but know that there will be time for self-massage and relaxation at the end.
All levels welcome including beginners.
Please note: you do not have to be strong for this workshop! Alex is here to give you ideas of how to incorporate strength building exercises into your practice.

A day retreat at a tranquil Ayurvedic spa near Malvern. A freshly prepared, homemade lunch along with healthy teas and cake will be provided during the day. Please note this day retreat will be conducted mainly in social silence to allow retreatants the opportunity to drop deeper into practice.

There is a steam room at the Clover Mill and if you wish, you are welcome to end the day in the steam room (please bring your bathing suit).
Cost: £85 includes all yoga, lunch, teas, cake, use of steam room.
